SABIF coordinates biodiversity data management across South Africa, provides training and e-learning resources for data managers, and serves as the country's gateway to the global GBIF network. Funded by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI). Directly relevant to eBioNet as the institutional framework through which South African freshwater biodiversity data (including FBIS records) are integrated into the global GBIF infrastructure.
